I bought this for a long car ride but never ended up using it. I happened to find it in the bottom of my purse while waiting in a long line at the grocery store and it saved me! My 4.5 year old loved it and it kept her busy the whole time. It was less exciting for my 2.5yo, but I wasn't expecting it to entertain her since she's still so little. I have kept it in my purse and pull it out whenever we have long waits.

I gave the Namits Jr to my nephew as a Christmas gift and he and his brother love it (they are 5 and 3). It is a great way to help critical thinking, start conversations, and practice vocabulary. Even though it isn't a game, per se, we made it into one - seeing how many answers we could come up with to each question, etc.

The cards are a great, durable plastic. My youngest nephew (1 yr) loved to just carry the set around and occasionally drool and chew on it, but they seem no worse for the wear.
